More than 20 leading news and print publications in the United Arab Emirates published an article-interview with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia, Giorgi Janjgava, on relations between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates.

The article emphasized the positive political, economic and cultural relations between the countries and the importance of dynamic ties. It also particularly noted the attractive business environment in Georgia and the importance of large investments made by the Emirates in the last decade and in the future. In addition, attention focused on the growing positive dynamics in trade and tourism between the countries.

For reference: Over the past decades, up to $1.5 billion has been invested in Georgia from the United Arab Emirates. Last year, trade between the countries reached half a billion dollars. It is also worth noting that last year, about 500 000 visitors from the Emirates visited Georgia, and about 35 000 visitors from Georgia traveled to the Emirates. According to last year's data, about 2 000 Georgian citizens live and do business in the Emirates. There are about 65 flights between Georgia and the Emirates every week during the season.
