Steps to be followed for a Consular Legalization of a Document issued in the United Arab Emirates.

Documents to be attached online at https://geoconsul.gov.ge/en/consular-services 

  1. Original Document in English (legally translated if in Arabic) stamped and signed by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International cooperation (MOFAIC);
  2. Application form for Legalization to be filled, printed, signed and attached  in the system (https://geoconsul.gov.ge/en/consular-services);
  3. Applicant Passport copy;
  4. Applicant Valid Residence Visa or ID copy;
  5. Consular Fee payment receipt (In English) to attach (56 Dirhams - equivalent of 15 USD - per each document). Please indicate Name and Surname of the Applicant during depositing fee.  

Once above mentioned steps are completed, the application will be verified to ensure all documents and data are submitted correctly. Following the Consular Officer approval, applicant shall proceed to send via post (applicant shall bear Postal fees for delivery and collection) to the Embassy address (#20 Al Udhouq Street, Abu Dhabi) following original documents: 

  1. Original Document in English (legally translated if in Arabic) stamped and signed by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International cooperation (MOFAIC);
  2. Printed copy of each Original Document to be legalized;
  3. Application form for Legalization to be filled, printed and signed;
  4. Copy of E-application filled in and printed out;
  5. Printed Applicant Passport copy;
  6. Printed copy of applicant’s Residence Visa or ID;
  7. Consular Fee payment receipt (in English) (56 Dirhams - equivalent of 15 USD - per each document) should be uploaded in the system as well;
  8. All above documents should be uploaded in the system and duly handed over to the Consular Service of the Embassy in printed forms.

In the system, Applicant clicks delivery method by post (not visiting the Consulate, as currently Embassy accepts only documents delivered by the post). Please ask Courier to provide printed prepaid return airway bill. 

  • Each document should be uploaded in scanned form pdf. (Photos made by phone will be rejected).
  • Legalization process requires up to 10 working days since Original document and required printed copies reach the Embassy of Georgia in the UAE. Once Legalized applicant will receive Phone call or e-mail notification from the Embassy to arrange collection.

Applicant shall bear all costs related to ADCB Bank Fees. Bank Accounts details is attached below.

  • Embassy accepts only Online Transfer or cash deposit at ATM (It’s free of charge). 
  • Don’t interact with bank teller/operator, as the teller service is charged with additional 52.5 AED, which than has to be settled by applicant.
